Microsoft security essentials is out

Microsoft security essentials was finally released yesterday and here are my first impressions:

1. The UI is nice and clean.
2. It either ignores cookies or don't care.
3. The scan took way too many resources, and my pc has 4 cores and 4GB of RAM.
5. It scanned 60000 files including compressed ones and my initial drive alone has more than 100000 files that needs scanning.
6. Membership in spynet is mandatory which is unfortunate.
7. It is very unintrusive which is good for home users.

To sum up, if you don't have a current AV it's better than nothing, if you want a small av for virtual machines and don't want to buy extra copies it's a food choice.
However if you want comprehensive defense and good sense of security get a professional AV from security focused companies.
