I know we all are grateful and happy that the devs gave us recovery, but version 3 is a lot of trouble, up until 2.5.1.3 the update zip files worked pefectly, and after we installed ROMs we would add language fixes and themes easily, just boot into recovery and chose the zip files one after another.
Since recovery 3 came out the script does not support append, and now to get the fixes or themes, people flash entire roms, and if your theme or language fix does not have a full rom + fix you are screwed.
I understand that something in the Gingerbread required the new recovery and I accept it.
My nexus S just feels boring, and I keep having to downgrade the recovery on my HTC phones in order to apply fixes.
Its just become too hard, I now rarely update my phones to the latest/greatest roms. just too much work.
I hope a solution will come soon.
